Chief Engineer
Matthew Gish
Matt Gish is a nationally respected gunsmith, instructor, and entrepreneur. He has a long history of excellence in the firearms industry in sales and gunsmithing with the Springfield Armory Custom Shop and as lead gunsmith with Les Baer Custom. It was at Les Baer, one of the most highly respected precision gun manufacturers in the world, where Matt secured a coveted FBI contract for a high-capacity model 1911 for their SWAT and Hostage Rescue Team (HRT) operators. This effort required exacting engineering and extensive testing to meet their high standards. This excellence resulted in Matt’s employment with the FBI, where he became the lead gunsmith for the Bureau’s HRT and SWAT teams.
The high volume of firearms moving through the hands of these operators, as well as thousands of agents at the FBI Academy and in the field, gave Matt the unique opportunity to examine and resolve the multitude of issues that arise in such a highly diverse law enforcement user population. His dedicated work led to close affiliation with all the Bureau's firearms units as well as weapons suppliers, including Glock.
Matt presently works closely with Gunsite Academy and is highly respected in both the law enforcement and competition community. Matt has joined True Vector to help create our category disrupting marksmanship training device.
